Since 2003, Big Chief Partners participated in the following events:

RFID Developer's Conference, San Mateo, November 2004. Peter Winer is the Chairman of this conference, designed the conference content and bought together many of the speakers for the event.  This technical event is aimed at developers, systems architects, and executives from companies considering RFID adoption.

"RFID Networks", and "RFID Middleware and Web Services Panel", Frontline Solutions Conference & Exposition, Chicago, October, 2004.  Peter Winer chaired these two panels, and bought together both pure play companies, and established vendors to RFID networks, middleware and web services in detail.

Peter Winer was Chairman of the Global Supply Chain RFID/GTIN Standards Conference, Toronto, Canada, September 2004.  Peter helped design the conference content and invited many of the presenters.  The Conference bought together over 150 senior executives, almost all of whom were from companies adopting RFID, with over half of them being from manufacturing organizations.

"Tracking the Explosive Growth of RFID", MIT Club of Northern California, May 2004. On Tuesday May 11, 2004, Peter Winer moderated a panel discussion at the MIT Club of Northern California in Palo Alto. The panelists for this discussion included representatives from Savi Technology, Blue Vector Systems, The Mayfield Fund and Oracle. See the White Papers page for presentation slides.

"Middleware Requirements for Supply Chain Integration", RFID World, April, 2004. See the White Papers page for presentation slides.

"RFID: 101 to Warp Speed", Council on Logistics Management, April, 2004. This presentation offered a high level view of the technology, applications and privacy concerns surrounding the deployment of RFID. See the White Papers page for presentation slides.

"Infrastructure Issues for RFID and GTIN Deployment", Global Supply Chain RFID Conference, April, 2004. This presentation offered an overview of the complex RFID landscape and described some of the most important issues in RFID and GTIN supply chain deployments. "Middleware for Enabling RFID Solutions", Frontline's International Supply Chain Week,  September, 2003. This show focused on the complete supply chain technologies pipeline. This panel discussion looked into middleware solutions as a means of addressing this software need. The panelists for this session were: John Shoemaker, Matrics; Mike Schnoll, Alien Technology; Bryan Tracey, Globe Ranger; and Prasad Putta, Oat Systems. 

"Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)  Tag you're IT", MIT-Stanford Venture Lab, Stanford, CA, June, 2003. This panel focused on answering questions and debating some of the key issues related to the deployment of RFID technology.

RFID Journal Live Conference, Chicago, IL, June, 2003. Big Chief Partners is a gold sponsor of this event, and provided RFID-enabled conference badges to all attendees, presenters and conference management. See the spotlights page for more details. 

RFID World Conference, Fort Lauderdale FL, May, 2003. Peter Winer from Big Chief Partners presented the session titled, "Security and Authentication Technologies". This presentation included a summary of currently available solutions and indications of new technologies emerging in the near term future. In addition, two case studies were used to illustrate the need for security and authentication in automatic identification solutions.

Consumer Electronics Show, Las Vegas NV, January, 2003. The WebLink system developed by Big Chief Partners was demonstrated in the Philips Semiconductors showcase. The demonstration showed the features of the WebLink infrastructure platform and a specific application that manages digital rights for multimedia content. In addition, WebLink was shown to be the first infrastructure for use with Near Field Communications (NFC) a strategic technology initiative from Philips and Sony.
